Soil Health Application
Soil naturally harbors beneficial biology to combat pests and grow healthy plants, but sometimes, its health becomes imbalanced, especially in new construction where soils are disturbed. bioLawn offers the below treatments to restore soil health, fostering a more sustainable lawn. In turn this leads to a thicker, denser lawn with fewer weeds.
Soil health Services
Dependent upon your lawn’s needs, we offer four types of soil health services.
Soil Soft Activator
In the spring, lawns can be slow to green up due to cold soils and low soil biological activity. Soil soft activator is a proprietary formula applied in the spring time to awaken soil biology. This results in a larger soil biology population, greater root growth and a darker green lawn. The Soil Soft Activator is applied during the early spring treatment.
Stress Health Application
In the summer, heat and limited rainfall can turn lawns brown and stressed, leaving them vulnerable to invasive weeds. A thick, healthy lawn is the best defense against pests and weeds. Our Stress Health Application at bioLawn improves water retention, infiltration, and provides stress-fighting nutrients. Custom-blended for us, it helps lawns stay green and growing while managing water efficiently, making it beneficial for both irrigated and non-irrigated lawns. The Stress Health Application is applied during the summer.
Lime Treatment
Occasionally, soil pH imbalance can hinder the lawn’s access to nutrients. When the soil pH is too low, applying lime can raise it, making more nutrients accessible to the lawn. Lime will also provide Calcium and Magnesium nutrients to the lawn. The additional nutrients and access to more nturients promotes natural growth, leading to a denser and thicker lawn. bioLawn traditionally applies Lime during the summer.
Gypsum Treatment
Healthy lawn growth relies on good soil quality. If your soil has a high pH, is compact, or lacks Calcium, then Gypsum is a solution. Gypsum can also be beneficial in high salt situations, such as where road salts are used. bioLawn traditionally applies Gypsum during the summer.
